Welcome

Pregnancy is an exciting time as you prepare to welcome a new member into your family. Choosing who to invite into your birthing space requires much thoughtfulness and I appreciate your consideration.

As a doula I have the incredible honor of being invited into a woman’s birth space. It’s an honor that I don’t take lightly. I run off to every birth not really knowing what my role is going to be for this particular birth. Some births require a lot of me physically. Some births require me to sing. Some births it’s simply my presence and encouragement that play a huge role. But every single birth- no matter what kind of birth it is- I get to bear witness to the strength of a woman bringing life into the world. I truly have the best job in the world!

"We can not put into words how valuable Grace was during the birth of our daughter. Her presence, support and guidance were critical to both my husband and I throughout my long labor.  She is truly a wealth of knowledge and brings such a calm and positive energy."

Announcement

May 27, 2021

One of my greatest joys over the last decade has been my role as doula in almost 90 births.

I love being a doula. I love serving families in one of their most intimate, vulnerable, and joyful life events. Being a doula requires a whole heart and undivided attention, which is why at this time

I am setting aside my thriving doula practice. My family is living through a transition season that requires much and I have found myself struggling to give my clients and practice the attention that they deserve.

I will not be taking on any new clients for the foreseeable future. I will be taking repeat clients so if I have supported you in the past and you find yourself expecting again please don’t hesitate to reach out—I would be delighted. I hope to return eventually, but am trusting God to direct and reveal in His time—my hands are open.

I have a great deal of relief and freedom in making this decision. However, it is also accompanied with grief. I truly love being a doula. I come home from prenatal meetings energized. I come home from births tired but beaming with pride over how my clients overcame obstacles. I marvel while I edit photos that capture the strength, teamwork, and beauty that welcomes each new baby to the world. And I feel forever connected to each client I’ve supported and each baby I’ve witnessed take their first breath. So thank you for trusting me and welcoming me to your birthing spaces. It is one of my greatest honors.
